5:19 am
that has problems with phones at the table.. in fact.. a 20-13 survey found one in three people pull out their phones while eating. so.. joining us with tips and tricks to keep phones at bay during your meal is our producer valarie. hey guys.. thanksgiving is one of the only holidays a year.. where alof family and friends get to spend time where all of your family and friends get to spend time together.. and you don't want that being ruined by the small screen. but.. telling people to just put down the phone doesn't always work. of course.. people will want to take pictures of their food. everyone else on their social media will.. so i say.. set a time for pictures.

minutes for the perfect food- porn lighting.. then tell everyone to throw their phone in a basket until dinner is done. another option.. i might make my family do this.. put all the phones in a pile in the middle of the table.. and the first person who pulls out their phone has to do the dishes.. or if you're like my mom.. and you use paper plates for thanksgiving.. the first to cave has to put away the food. trust me.. there will be leftovers. if you are banning phones.. make sure there is plenty to talk about. people use their phones as entertainment.. and if the conversation isn't entertaining. they will reach for that small screen. also be understanding.. even if cell phones drive you up a wall.. sometimes they need to be answered. if some one just started a new job... or if they're away from their family.. they may be obligated to answer. i want to know if you have any trick to tips up your sleeves. i'll be on my phone all morning long.. so you can tweet

"if we're going to over indulge in chips, i'm going to ask you to do, i'm going to give you 30 burpies and you're going to have to do those for me. if it's pumpkin pie, i want 50 squats from you. okay? and if you're going to over indulge in mashed potatoes, right? i want 40 walking lunges from you." exercise before the holiday... and get your body
