"guys, a plane just crashed over here. oh " explosion breaking news tonight in elko ... in northern nevada.. this video shows the aftermath of a plane crash in town. we talked to the elko fire department and nevada highway patrol. they tell us a plane crashed into the parking lot of barrick gold corporation ... a mining company. the federal aviation administration tells us four people were on board. we're also hearing of reports from reno saying four people died in the crash. we have not independently confirmed that. several cars and buses in the parking lot were involved in the fire a witness we spoke with says the explosions are actually from the vehicles on the ground the plane hit... the witness says

shutdown just about an hour ago in both directions... and will remain closed until early monday morning. fox5's cyndi lundeberg is near the connector now--- she joins us live... john christine the 215 will be shut down in both directions for the weekend as crews install parts of the flyover ramp beginning tonight. east and west bound drivers will have to exit at the airport connector but crews are asking you to exit before this if you can... east bound driver should exit jones decatur or las vegas boulevard drivers headed west can get off the freeway at eastern warm springs or windmill. as traffic moves off the 215 that means side streets in the area might be more congested this work is part of the second phase of construction... its

tell us exotic cats were living in deplorable conditions at a pahrump home, so they seized more than a dozen animals. tonight we found out the largest animals, like lions and tigers may be returned to the owners. others will go to a licensed sanctuary. one neighbor told us she's sad to hear about the animal abuse charges, but likes having the exotic creatures next door. "ellen bryant: they were quiet and we had no problems out of them and i loved hearing he lions roar. they were here when we came and i thought it was really nice "

living on the property: two african lionesses. one african lion, a bengal tiger, eight canadian siberian lynx hybrid cats, a black panther, a fennec fox and a cervel caracal hybrid cat. "sgt michael eisenloffel:(nye county) the air quality inside was unacceptable the living conditions in terms of hygiene conditions were terrible. animals were dedicating and urinating within the rooms that some of those cats were housed in " deputies cited jacki freman- for misdemeanor animal cruelty and plan to cite another one other person. an iconic restaurant just off the strip is closing its doors. the hard rock cafe is shutting down after 26 years. "people are asking where to find the cafe and so it blows, it really sucks that it's closing. it's really iconic you know. my heart. people are gonna miss it too."

and paradise-- right in front of the hotel. it's to put more attention on the strip's new location... employees of the cafe will be given top priority for open positions at the strip location and their new "hard rock live las vegas" venue. g a new resort is getting ready to open at the north end of the strip... the lucky dragon is holding a soft opening tomorrow. a bigger opening is scheduled for december. the asian themed resort-- has more than 200 rooms, a casino, a spa and and an indoor, outdoor tea garden. it will feature authentic chinese food at its restaurants.... this is the first new resort to open on or near the strip since the cosmopolitan opened back in 2010.

faith lutheran students are gave back today by volunteering all over the valley. the middle and high school schoolers spent their friday performing various service projects like-- reading to local elementary school students... preparing thanksgiving baskets... restocking food pantries... and playing games with retired veterans. faith lutheran has been doing this service project every year for the past decade to teach the students the importance of giving back. "it's just a great experience because

back to the community and it a great time with friends." "we come back to the school and we worship together and we give thanks to god for our lives and for the lives of the people that we were able to work with and it ends up really impacting the kids. more than 800 students volunteered today at 22 different local charities. downtown summerlin is startng off the season with their second annual holiday parade and christmas tree lighting. "i'm super passionate about southern nevada. i've lived here since i was 4 years old. went to green valley high school. i currently am enrolled at unlv and i've been all over the world and i always come home and so for me just any time i can be involved in the community it's special to me." the ceremony was hosted by local b-m-x gold medalist-- connor fields. fields wasn't the only special guest. santa claus also stopped by along with the nevada ballet theater. downtown summerlin also got charitable by making a donation to the make-a-wish foundation of southern nevada. the lights are twinkling once again at the las

" yanez is due back in court on december 19-th. a minnesota woman is undergoing a psych eval after hanging a child at the daycare where she worked--- and leading police on a chase. police say the woman is a daycare provider. and she hanged the 18-month old girl at the daycare and then took off in van. while on the run-- she hit a pedestrian and bicyclist. the little girl is okay. the pedestrian is listed in critical condition police say the woman then threatened to jump off a bridge but authorities were able to take her into custody. a man comes home to find his

and their newborn daughter-- missing. it happened yesterday in wichita. police are not calling the baby's father a suspect. police-- did not issue an amber alert--- saying the situation does not meet all the requirements ... mainly not knowing any information about the suspect to give to the public. the f-b-i is now involved in the case. a child's birthday party ends in gunfire.... the child's mother shot and killed. police say torius saville russell opened fire at a 2-year-old's party.... people were hit-- including a 6--year-old. shanice amerson was killed. russell was arrested this morning... he being charged with first degree murder. officers say they had already visited the home earlier in the day. " isbell says: "officers then respond to the same residence earlier in the day around 4:15 pm in reference to a disturbance with weapons involved. responding officers were advised by residents that a white vehicle with multiple occupants had just left the scene and one of

handgun." neighbors believe the shooting was gang related. a teen is arrested for firing shots into his neighbor's home... and it wasn't hard for police to figure out he was responsible. "18-23 nats " the teen streamed the entire thing on facebook. he waives the rifle and a handgun around... points it toward an open window at fire's at the neighbor's house. he laughs as he does it... the neighbor-- doesn't find it amusing. "if you're just sitting in your house and you're watching television, you hear something like that, that would freak you out. it would scare you because i'm not used to hearing that." " the teen lives with his grandma... and was home alone at the time. he was arrested on weapons charges... police are still trying to figure out where the guns came from president-elect donald trump has agreed to pay 25- million dollars -- to settle trump university lawsuits... "a very important part of our

case was the acknowledgment that there was no fault or liability on the part of president-elect trump or trump university. there had been no determination of the merits of this case " students paid up to 35-thousand dollars in tuition -- and some claimed they didn't get what they paid for... under the settelment-- they will get at least half of their money back... some will get it all. "jason forge: "in 30 days the judge will hopefully issue what's called preliminary approval. we'll file that. there will be a notice period of probably 30 to 60 days. once that passes the judge will finally, hopefully, finally approve the settlement. and so, we could have people with their money back within 3 to 4 months. " the settlement covers a suit in new york.... and two class-action suits filed in california. across the globe--- people can calm their fears--- the zika virus is no longer an international public health emergency.
