he was shot in the leg at the peppermill early this morning. metro says the robbery suspect shot the victim while he was taking the man's jewelry. the victim was taken to the hospital and is expected to be okay. police say 2 men took off north on the las vegas strip in a red, newer model vehicle. call pol have any information. hundreds of people lost power overnight.. after a car crashed into a power pole. n-v energy is reporting the outage near washington and nellis. it started just before 1 this morning... and 14-hundred customers were affected. no word on what led up to the crash. if your fingers are doing some of the holiday shopping this year -- good news! your boss is actually expecting you to

you're on the clock. that's the finding in a new survey this morning. we've got fox 5's mike doria on the story live from our newsroom this morning.. what's on your screen there mike? employers allow it! it makes sense -- it keeps employees in the office where their boss can find. and it keeps them from cutting out early at every twist and turn leading up to the holidays to get their shopping done.

employees at amazon's warehouses are probably going out of their minds right now fulfilling endless orders. a survey done by robert half technologies shows 49 percent of workers surveyed will shop from work on cyber monday. 17 percent will do so by phone. 65 percent of companies allow online shopping -- according to cios who were surveyed. only 33 percent of companies block online shopping. and 35% of workers surveyed say they were lured into shopping while completing another task that required them to be online at work. but perhaps the best statistic -- 65 percent of workers admit to minimizing their screens at work as their boss approached. and 55 percent of employees say they aren't aware of the online

to meet with potential hires at trump tower in midtown manhattan today.. that's where he'll also have his first meeting with a foreign leader since his big win last week. japanese prime minister -- shinzo abe -- will be in new york today...where he will likely to try to salvage at least part of a major trade deal and secure a commitment to japan's continued defense. trump has yet to announce his foreign policy team. now we know why these rubber masks of the president-elect have been flying out of a factory in japan! employees are struggling to keep up with the demand... orders are pouring in.. and the factory is trying to make as many as 350 masks a day! this is the only location in japan

the clark county district attorney's is now holding off on prosecuting cases involving anyone 21 or older having less than an ounce of marijuana.. come january first.. recreational pot will be legal in nevada. but right now -- you're still not to have any amount of marijuana.. police will continue enforcement efforts.. but say possession of smaller amounts is of lower priority. this year there were 177 people arrested for carrying less than an ounce. a california lab is working on a new breathyzer... that can detect both alcohol and marijuana when the person taking it exhales. scientists at berkeley... are developing a technology to help officers prove... a person has smoked pot. there are already ways for police to know... if someone uses marijuana. but with this device... officers can do more than make arrests. dowty: "because they don't have a tool, like with alcohol, it's very difficult for them to say 'okay. all
