and local businesses owners are not happy about it. fox5's abby theodros joins us live near third street and las vegas boulevard. abby-- you've learned this isn't the first fire for the property, is it? the people i talked with today tell me this area is overrun with squatters. this particular property's had at least three fires in the last 2 years. ben medena, star motel co-owner: its frustrating ben medina is the co-owner of the star motel on third street - and he's talking about the vacant property next door ben medina: there have been multiple occasions of fires, vandalism, and vagrance this fire was this afternoon. the time before that was in december and the one before that - july 2014. all on the same property. abby: have you

bm: traumatically. no one wants to come to the property if the property next door is closed. they dont have a fence up. ocassionally there will be homeless people coming in and out of the property las vegas fire and rescue told fox five the property has a squatter problem gf: if the owner doesnt care enough to put a fence around the property to make sure people dont get in if the building is abandoned, then it just hurts the other businesses in the art district. gray toyota car--- struck a tree and a roadway sign. the vehicle then rolled over. the driver was the only person in the car. he was taken to u-m-c... where he died a few hours later. police say that crash happened on the right shoulder. as you can see... no lanes were closed... and traffic wasn't affected. police are looking into what caused the rollover. police need your help finding the person... who shot and killed a 19-year- old last night. at this point, detectives believe there is a possiblity that there is a small blue pick up truck, may be involved in this shooting." north las vegas police say they got a call just before one a-m. officers found a 19-year-old with gunshot wounds... near lake mead and belmont street. they say the man was taken to u-m- c... where he later died. police say they don't think the shooting was random. right now they're on the lookout--- for a small blue pickup truck... that could be involved.

shock because it's still happening and i hope in the futre something will resolve this. we reached out to local police-- to see they made any changes. north las vegas police tell us--- no changes have been made so far... because there are no specific threats to the area. the f-b-i is also investigating a third possible act of terrorism in just 24 hours. nine people were stabbed in a minnesota mall saturday. the f-b-i and police are working to determine a motive behind the attack. police say it all began when a man dressed as a security guard--- started stabbing people inside the crossroads mall. an off-duty police officer shot and killed the attacker. police have identified that cop as jason falconer. he's a part-time police officer in avon... and was a former police chief in albany. anderson says: "we train to respond to these kinds of incidents swiftly

police officers and firefighters battled it out on the field. and all for a good cause. officers and fire fighters from around the valley came together for the annual guns n hoses soccer game. almost a thousand people came out to support the match. it was at the soccer field at u-

they're trying to get young women in on the fun... by proving that biking is for everyone. this weekend they held a motorcycle safety class just for millenial women. the women ride through different courses full of twists and turns. instructors teach safety... rules of the road... and how to be confident on a bike. i think it's nice that i did it with my friends, that i'm not worried about what i look like or if i'm messing up and we're all kind of cheering each other on and i think if more women do it that way then it wo scary, it wouldn't matter. i think it's a really empowering feeling to be on the bike and have control. i've ridden on the back of bikes many times, but it feels really good to be in charge. classes are sceduled at least twice a month. you can sign up at the harley davidson on las vegas boulevard... or the one in henderson. if you take the class-- you can waive some of the steps to get a motorcycle license. it also lowers your insurance rate. self-driving cars will soon be the
