the fire had been put out and no way and they are heading to this fire scene right now and we will check in with her in a little bit. and we have more information about a double shooting in vallejo. a couple of kids were getting put into a car and the children were not hurt but we learned a teen was shot and alex savage was at the station with an update on this investigation, alex in. the shooter drove by in the hallway a home and we understand the ages of those two children 4 and 6 were not
injured in this shooting. a 16-year-old boy was hit in the and they were struck several times. the shooting happened around 10:00 outside the block of williams drive. a car pulled up to the house and somebody inside started firing. nobody at the house has any idea why they would be targeted. >> the only information they had to provide to us was that it was possibly a dodge charger or dodge magnum when the gunfire erupted and it was last seen on williams drive. all parties involved claimed they knew absolutely nothing about who was shotting at the
house. >> the bullets struck the car and the least lead, again it was a black dodge charger seen leaving the scene and police will be back out there in that neighborhood to search for more witnesses. live in vallejo, alex savage, ktvu channel 2 morning news. police in oakland are searching for a man who killed somebody in broad daylight. that the shooting happened on east 17th street and send mare avenue. the man was pronounced dead at the scene and police have not released his name and it happened near west grand
avenue. police have not released any information about how he was electrocute cud. witnessed said he may have been trying to steal copper wiring but in still was not confirm. and officers killed 53-year- old handyman glenn kraigs when he confronted them holding a beebee gun. they were trying to question him about a girlfriend who was missing for about a year and they connected him to four other people and vested he did not kill them. he is accused of holding his family hostage at gunpoint. a 12-year-old first alerted them to this disturbing incident. she called nine one one and
said her father had a gun and was refusing to let her and six other families members leave their home. the family managed to escape and they got into a car. they finally arrested the armed suspect after he jumped into another car to chase his family. protesters already and up at the victory out reach church. today marks one week since the plane was shot down over a russian separatist stronghold over ukraine. they are sending troops to the crash site to secure the scene and there are 50 police officers and an international team is being formed to

related. happening today, we are going to learn more to fix the problem from the bay bridge, they are working to discuss the latest on the bolt problem on the new eastern span. caltrans said it will cost $1.5 million to anchor the massive cable sin and recent tests show it will could threaten the stability of the bridge. it will cost money to build a suicide barrier on the golden gate bridge and that's $6 million needed to complete the project. the rest of the money will come from caltrans the state and golden gate bridge district. they see more suicides than any other spot and last year 46 people died after jumping over the bridge. san francisco, talking a

the inn accident. stay tuned for her live report in just a couple of minutes. they are investigating a deadly crash. the passenger in the car was killed and the driver is now fighting for his life. that was reported shortly after 101 near the great america parkway. chp said the two men were riding inside of a black convertible when the driver lost control of his car and it crashed and flipped over several times. >> it appears speed is most likely a factor and it is unknown at this time whether drugs or alcohol were a factor. >> the driver was taken to stanford medical center where he is listed in critical condition. they are shut down now for more than two hours. california police officers may soon have a new tool to catch hit-and-run drivers. katie is joining us live along

fire crews knocked out a fire at davis immediate -- intermediate school. here is new information from firefighters. >> reporter: yes, we are here at davis middle school and behind me, you can see here at davis middle school and from the outside it doesn't look like it is much much dam. i want to go to some video we shot earlier when firefighters were here working on the fire. this fire broke out at 530 testimony them this morning and a neighbor reported she saw smoke and flames coming from the school and when firefighters arrived they did not discover any fire actually
in the classroom, instead they found it in the attic area and that's where firefighters believe it started. they were able to knock it down in about 25 minutes and at one point it was knocked out and it is now downgraded and nobody was inside. here is what passengers tell us when it comes to that investigation. >> we do extensive investigations and we do this in route to try to determine what the cause of the fire was. our preliminary investigation shows it doesn't seem suspicious. and the reason the captain said that, it doesn't seem to it be any kind of graffiti or tagging
on school property inside of that classroom they say whenever it comes to a fire out of school they have to handle it carefully and they look for signs out of graffiti toty to see if it is any type of arson but again they mentioned there'd is no reason to think it is arson. again it looks like it was contained to the attic and most of the damage is contained to that areas well as on the roof. reporting live ktvu channel 2 morning news. for the past few minutes, they have been monitoring the search and several reports now say the algiers aircraft has crashed. it was flying from west african country to algeria when about 50 minutes into the flight it
disappeared over the country of molly. the airlines said there are 110 passengers and 6 crew members on the plane. the nationals tis include swiss french and ukrainian and so far there is no word of any americans on that plane. the militant group hamas, just moments again, they announced 7 people were killed and they were seeking shelter at a united nations shelter. they released these pictures on a gaza hospital as a command center and they were going ahead of that airstrike. mainly civilians had been killed since the fighting started back on july 8thth and 32 israeli shoulders have died

a mother is accused of child endangerment charges at the casino 580 in livermore. they found her two children ages two and three still strapped inside of a locked car parked across the street from the casino. >> typical call we get, somebody is running to the store for a gallon of milk but this is not the case, she is leaving her two children toddlers who essentially can't fend for themselves in a hot box. >> the two the children were not hurt but they are in protective custody. a man shot and killed last month by sunnyville police. coming up, the possible link to
the deaths as many as four women. and driveby shooting inside of vallejo leaves two wounded including a teenage boy. two small children were hit by the gunfire. traffic is moving along in some areas and they are getting slower in san jose northbound and they roll looking at the commute. and some patchy fog, i will tell you it will get should up and we are pointing towards a warmup. we will have details coming up.

and a 26-year-old man was struck several times as he was putting the children into the car. the shooting happened just before 10:00 outside of a house on the 300 block of bw williams drive. the car pulled up to the house and somebody inside of that car started firing. relatives drove them to the hospital and both are expected to survive. >> apparently, the older individual 26-year-old was helping to put them in the car when the gunfire erupted. the 16-year-old was entering the vehicle when he was struck in the upper right thigh. >> investigators say bullets struck the family's car in as many as 8 shots went right through the wall of their house and investigators are not sure what prompted the gunfire and nobody who lives there has any idea why they would be
