winds was blowing through in her area, near lone mountain. and remember, whenever you see any severe weather, send us pictures and videos! you can email them to i-contribute at, or tag us on social media with the hashtag i-c-13. also breaking right now-- a former employee of the bellagio is suing her former employer... after she claims her supervisor discriminated against her! vilma miel says he called her names like "old woman" and "monkey." in the lawsuit, miel... a filipino cage cashier of twenty-plus years... says she also developed carpal tunnel syndrome on the job. then when she took time off to have it treated, she was fired. miel is claiming wrongful termination based on age... national origin... and disability. now to an update on a story we first brought you as it was breaking-- the f-b-i raided three separate facilities here in the valley today. but right now, we don't yet know why the raids took place. you're taking a look at the first raid, which happened at a home in henderson. you can see as federal agents

records showthe home belongs to fredrick and tracy leavitt... the regional financial director of the bureau of reclamation. and here's video of another one carried out at a business in las vegas. agents there had shut down an accounting firm as they looked for information. 13 action news tried talk to agents-- but was quickly told to leave. the third raid happened at the bureau of reclamation down in boulder city. the bureau did release a statement...saying they were cooperating with federal agents. a house on the eastside goes up in flames, for the second time in just months! and just 24-hours ago, a second victim in that fire has just died. and this home was not just the scene of a fire, but also a murder mystery! it's located near charleston and lamb. you're looking at the damage from the first and second fires. investigators are now looking into if this fire was started intentionally. 13 action news reporter yasmeen hassan has more on why fire is sounding the alarms for metro police, not just firefighters. < people in this area tell me they are terrified. they think this fire was set intionally - for everyone to

minutes to get out here - but back in november - this house was set on fire, with 5 people trapped inside, including a baby. mario jimenez died inside the fire... another - was pulled out after being stabbed. two women - were bound...duct taped...and burned. we just learned that one of those women - angelica jimenez - died last night from her injuries... ....then within hours - the house caught fire again. ....but so far, police say they have not made any arrests. reporting yasmeen hassan 13 action news. bail has been set for the man accused of stabbing metro's k-9 nicky. tolavius timmons made his first

his bail is set at 75-thousand dollars, and his preliminary hearing is scheduled for march 4th. the stabbing happened last friday during a 12-hour standoff. as for nicky, his handler says he's recovering well and hopes he'll be back on patrol in about 3-weeks. the woman accused of driving her car into crowds of people on the strip did not appear in court again. you'll remember last time, lakeisha holloway was deemed to unruly to appear. a judge has now ordered for a 11th. holloway is facing 71 charges, including attempted murder for that crash back in december that killed a woman and injured more than 30 others. ahead today... hundreds of casino workers will set up camp in front of sunrise hospital, rallying for better health insurance. the culinary and bartenders unions are organizing the protest. it runs from 5 until 7 tonight. the groups say their rally should have no effect on people being treated at the hospital. they're just fighting for more affordable health care. also happening today, the two democratic the two democratic presidential candidates hillary clinton and

valley, going head-to-head in the msnbc-telemundo debate. it's happening at 6 at the cleveland clinic luo ruvo center for brain health in downtown. and then after that debate, hillary clinton is holding an event called "get out the caucus." it's happening at 8-30 at the laborers international union. breaking news from baltimore-- maryland's highest court has delayed the trial of the officers charged with the death of freddie gray. the trial won't resume until the court of appeals decide whether the first officer, william porter, should be forced to testify. you'll remeber his trail ended in a mistrial back in october. the court will hear arguments march 3rd. pope francis is on his way home back to italy, but he's making waves here in the u- s from thousands of feet in the air! what he said about republican presidential candidate donald trump, that has the billionaire saying he no long likes the pope. and an old proposal is gaining new steam, but it could change the entire dynamic down on las vegas boulevard. it wants to get rid of all

new developments in the race for the white house-- republican presidential candidate donald trump has a new enemy - pope francis! that after the pontiff said this about the billionaire. "a person who thinks only about building walls, wherever they may be, and not building bridges, is not christian." to clarify his comments, pope francis says he's not advising americans how to vote! but trump would stand for that. donald trump, presidential candidate: for a religious leader to question a person's faith is disgraceful. i am christian. on the campaign trail, trump has been adamant about his christian beliefs. that's not the only controversial comments from pope francis today-- he also said woman threatened with the zika virus could use artificial contraception, but not abort their fetus.

sunshine sticks around through the weekend with just some decorative high level clouds overhead to make the skies beautiful. temperatures will stay in the low 70s for friday and saturday before high pressure nudging in from the west will kick temperatures back into the mid 70s for sunday through the middle of next week. the biggest speed bump in the weather will be some gusty-ish winds on sunday and monday from the north, but those will mostly be relegated to the colorado river valley and lake mead where wind advisories are possible. winds for las vegas will be noticeable but shouldn't gust much higher than 25mph or so. calmer winds stick around for the rest of the week and temperatures rise back to the

time now for some consumer alerts from contact 13-- more than one million walmart workers are getting a raise on saturday! the company says it will boost its minimum wage to ten dollars an hour from 9-dollars. the change applies to virtually all of walmart's hourly workers, including some supervisors. toyota is recalling nearly 3- million s-u-vs because of possible problems with the rear seat belts. the affected vehicles are the toyota rav-4, toyota rav-4 e-v, and toyota vanguard. most were built between 2005 and 20- 14. toyota dealers will fix the problem at no cost to the consumer. and ford is adding some pot-hole protection technology to its 20-17 fusion v-six sport sedan. the company says the shock absorber system automatically stiffens when sensors detect a pothole. so it'll keep the wheel elevated instead of dropping into the hole. ford's lincoln m-k-z already has similar technology. a much needed safety upgrade is up and running at a community

commissioner steve sisolak turned on a new traffic signal at tenaya and warm springs. the commissioner says they chose this intersection, because of all the residential and commercial development... and they want to make sure this area is safe for drivers and pedestrians as the area keeps expanding. ikea's first location in nevada is wrapping up construction! 13 action news got an inside look at the progress theyve made inside the store. the manager says right now theyre working on dry walling, plumbing and painting. but as theyre finishing up construction, theyre also moving towards a greener environment in their stores to reduce their carbon footprint the new ikea will have thousands of solar panels on their roof. a new proposal could shake up the way millions of people navigate on las vegas boulevard-- it would turn the iconic drive down strip into a walk! but, we all know that drive can take a long time because of all the traffic. the proposal would close all vehicle traffic, and make it one big pedestrian mall. teen charged for impersonating a doctor. the eighteen year old, who calls himself dr. love, is now out on bail. and he's speaking out exclusively to a-b-c news. he sat down one-on-one with abc's matt gutman. it's an interview you'll see first on action news. < malachi love-robinson - the teen marched out of his florida clinic in handcuffs. nats malachi they say you've been practicing medicine without a license?
