joining us at 8. i'm justine waldman.(jr stone) and i am jr stone. kron four's spencer blake spoke with a few dispensaries today. he joins us live in san francisco tonight. spencer, is there a major issue with marijuana supply tonight? (spencer)it depends who you talk to, and it depends who those dispensaries use as suppliers. i went to sf fogg in the city today to see how things are going for them.you heard from an employee about how they had a big stock of marijuana products at the beginning of the year, because legal recreational pot use is still so novel.dominic lucio says their dispensary is not running dry, but there are fewer products on their shelves than there were just a couple weeks ago. "we've ran into some of our companies who weren't able to get their permits, so unfortunately they are no
longer to sell to dispensaries here in california."(vo)lucio also thinks some people might have underestimated the high demand for marijuana once it became legal for adults all around.i also spoke with the manager at urban pharm.she tells me they áare started to run dry on certain things, and again, the supply issues depends on the producers that may or may not be catching up with their licensing.one dispensary c-e-o in santa cruz says some of the items from smaller brands are especially hard to find right now. (spencer)eventually the stockpiles these dispensaries built up will run low.we'll have to see if producers can get their local and state permits fast enough to keep shelves stocked in this new, legalized industry.live in san francisco, spencer blake, kron four news.
