>> here is a live look from our mount tam cam. you can see clear skies. as we take a look at the temperatures it will be a very mild. san francisco will be close to 60 degrees 57 out the door in san jose. as we advance you will notice that the temperatures will be pretty similar to what we saw yesterday. most locations will be in the '60s but we may see a few 70's. you can expect mostly cloudy conditions pretty similar to what we saw yesterday. we will add on the 10% chance for shoppers. you will see just how close the system will get but it is already starting to dissipate. future cast 4 shows some rain hitting the bay area.
the rest of us are looking pretty dry. the showers will start to diminish. your 7 day or around the bay highlights a breezy conditions but the temperatures will be slightly warmer. >> we are going to increase the concern for fire danger. we will see more of what we have been dealing with. the temperatures will cool as we head into the weekend. we will continue this pattern overall will see seasonal temperatures. york weather is something we will continue to monster. as for traffic we are not seen any hot spots. this is a great time for you to leave your own. there's nothing that you are not used to. here's a live look outside at the approach to the bay bridge toll plaza. most of the cars
that we are seeing are coming from the east shore freeway. it is very quiet for those of you jumping on the nimitz. >> the san mateo bridge is looking good. there are no problems. as we take a look at the golden gate bridge, southbound 101 the lanes are completely cleared and we do not have any issues with fog. the visibility is looking pretty good and the drive time is 23 minutes into the city. >> crews will begin taking apart the old eastern span of the bay bridge today. the start of the first phase of dismantling. is set for 10 this morning. 14 -hundred feet of the upper deck will be removed during this first phase. this is all being done east of yerba buena island, on the cantilever section of the span. bay bridge officials say, the first phase will take about six- weeks to complete. >> the devastation. unbelievable. just days after one of the

>> the first relief aircraft brought in supplies and airlifted out some of the dazed survivors. >> "i cannot say anything yet, i am still in shock. i am so sorry." >> on this veterans day, these u=s marines put the first american boots on the ground. they bring much needed machinery to help clear the rubble. >> "trucks, things to lift pallets. so we've brought in forklifts. we are bringing in generator sets, we are bringing in lights." >> for the survivors of tacloban, help cannot come fast enough, get international help to come here now. this is really really bad, bad, worse than hell." >> deadly typhoon haiyan in the philipines has prompted an outpouring of support from people around the bay area. donations by the bag full are coming into the west bay pilipio multi-service center on 7th street in san francisco. organizers want to send about 700 pounds of goods to people in the diaster zone. the most needed items right
now are first aid kits, flashlights , batteries. and baby food. those from the center say the entire community is coming together, including some san francisco supervisors who dropped off donations. >> all over the world we have had natural disasters. they're all in devastating. break down justines typhoon donations pkg to sotvo-- end the cont vo with justine's tag-- saying they are getinng shipped this morning and will accept more donations. >> the deadly typhoon has prompted an outpouring of support from people here in the bay area.
>> defense secretary chuck hagel has ordered the u-s-s george washington to the philippines to help with recovery from typhoon haiyan. the aircraft carrier has five - thousand sailors and more than 80- aircraft onboard. hagel is sending additional u-s navy ships to the philippines as well. and u-s marines are already in the philippines to help distribute the aid. officials are concerned the death toll could rise sharply due to outbreaks of disease and the lack of food and water. >> southern china is now bearing the brunt of what's left of super typhoon haiyan. at least eight people have been killed. china national radio says the storm caused up to seven-hundred million dollars in damage to the agricultural, forestry, poultry and fishing industries. haiyan was downgraded to a tropical storm after it made landfall in northern vietnam yesterday. the storm killed at least six people in vietnam. more than half-a million were evacuated to higher ground ahead of the storm. lineremember stay with kron- 4 for the latest on the typhoon relief effort. if you'd like to help -- you can find out how on kron-4-

tsa officer los angeles - u.s. attorney general eric holder is among the officials expected to speak at a memorial service to honor the transportation security administration officer who was gunned down at los angeles international airport. the tribute to gerardo hernandez is being held tuesday morning at the los angeles memorial sports arena. acting homeland security secretary rand beers is also scheduled to attend. hernandez is the first tsa officer killed in the line of duty. authorities say a gunman with a rifle and a rant against the tsa pulled the gun out of a bag and shot the 39-year-old father of two on nov. 1. two other tsa officers and a teacher were wounded before airport police wounded the gunman. paul ciancia remains hospitalized and has been charged with crimes that could get him the death penalty. >> lawyers for boston marathon bombing suspect dzhokhar tsarnaev are headed to court tuesday to ask a judge to ease restrictions placed on him in prison as he awaits trial. tsarnaev's lawyers argued in a motion filed last month that so-called "special administrative measures" are impairing their ability to defend him. the measures are often used in terrorism cases and restrict access to the mail, the media, the telephone and visitors.
tsarnaev is accused in twin bombings near the finish line of the april 15 marathon. three people were killed and more than 260 were injured. authorities allege that he and his brother, tamerlan, built and planted the bombs. tamerlan tsarnaev died four days after the marathon following a gun battle with police. >> though many have been plagued with problems during president obama's healthcare overhaul launch, one program is proving to be a success. according to avalere health-- medicaid has signed up 444-thousand people in the six weeks since open enrollment began. meanwhile, private plans offered through troublesome online markets are expected to have enrolled a much smaller number of people. >> a victory for gay couples in hawaii. hawaii's senate is expected to pass a bill legalizing same sex marriage today. the bill would allow gay couples to wed starting december 2nd. governor neil abercrombie has indicated he would sign the bill. >> the latest legal battle between the world's two biggest smart-phone makers is getting underway in silicon valley. lawyers for apple and samsung electronics will begin picking a jury today

and getting to them before they heard more people. >> it is just like our outdoor system, this does exactly the same thing. if an active shooter interest a building, or a skuld our system will be able to immediately notify law- enforcement that shots are being fired. where they are being fired. this is sincerely significant due to the fact that active shooters often shoot before the call was made to 911. a law-enforcement professionals will tell you that the minutes to do matter. >> some of the obvious place is our schools and universities but it can also be another critical infrastructures like shopping malls, federal buildings, airports etc.. we

so far, so good we have not seen any wait at the pay gate. the san mateo bridges off to a good start but we're starting to see more cars. the golden gate bridge is still quiet with no problems with the visibility. you may need to use your windshield wipers driving out of san francisco. the east shore freeway is looking good and no problems for the nimitz freeway. >> the public transit is not reported any delays for ac transit or board. >> the proposed waterfront arena to house the warriors keeps shrinking. and that still might not be enough for those opposed to the project. designers have shaved down the roof line. and added open green space and public they've also moved the entrance to the proposed parking garage to help ease possible congestion on game
days. the new design cuts back on the amount of retail space and reduces the number of parking spaces. in addition to reducing the number of seats in the new arena. the design changes are unlikely to silence critics of the project. >> the tampa bay buccaneers managed to become the last nfl team to win a game this season, one day after jacksonville earned its first victory 22-19 over the miami dolphins. meanwhile, things have gone from bad to worse for miami. dolphins owner stephen ross met with the media before the game and made his first public statements about jonathan martin since the offensive tackle left the team. ross says he's appalled by martin's allegations of daily harassment by teammates and plans to meet with the player on wednesday. >> i think anyone would be appalled when you first read this text message that was reported. face-to-face, i
