and as rebecca mentioned earlier... after a disappointing 4th place finish in saturday's south carolina g-o-p primary...jeb bush has ended his presidential campaign. bush started the 2016 race the odds-on favorite, with a huge campaign coffer from big-money donors. but he was unable to recover once donald trump started blasting him with personal insults, repeatedly calling him quote "dumb as a rock" and "low energy." nevada senator dean heller is endorsing marco rubio now that jeb bush had dropped out of the race. senator heller says he's convinced rubio can unite conservatives to beat the democrats in the general election. other bush supporters announced that they would also switch to rubio's team including representative mark amodei and assembly majority leader paul anderson. our community is mourning the loss of nevada senator debbie smith. she passed away yesterday at the age of 60. she began treatment for a malignant brain tumor a year ago. she was was first

we're learning more about saturday's horrific shooting spree in michigan that left 6 people dead and 2 others hospitalized. the suspect is due in court today to face murder charges. as reid binion reports... the incident has many people asking "why." "these were very deliberate killings." prosecutor jeff getting, describing the calm manner in which he says uber driver jason brian dalton carried out saturday night's shooting spree. "this wasn't hurried in any way, shape or form. they're on video. we've watched the video with law enforcement." dalton's alleged rampage played over the course of nearly seven hours... ...starting at an apartment complex late saturday afternoon....
the parking lot. the victim is hospitalized, and expected to survive... ....her neighbors described the horrifying attack. "he was here to kill." more than four hours later, another attack - a father and his teenage son shot and killed at a car dealership. just minutes after that, police say dalton opened fire on five people in a restaurant parking lot, killing four and injuring another. he was finally arrested just after 12:30 am sunday morning. a passenger who rode with dalton before the rampage described troubling behavior.
