good evening, i'm ama daetz. gunfire killed one man and one clinging to life at san francisco general hospital. the shooting at oh fairly and larkin streets. tomas ramon tells us what happened. >> it's like the old west. >> this man wanted to be identified only as russ. he is describing a gun fight

that broke out saturday night. he lives here in the apartments he started counting the shots at 9:40. >> i missed the first two and i counted 15 shots. >> police chief says one man was in the middle street shooting at others when officers arrived. >> the suspect when he was in the intersection was shooting that what they believe to be two suspects that were on the north side of the street shooting back at him. >> chief says two groups were involved in the shooting as they shot at each other. one man also targeted officers. >> suspect turned on officers. one officer fired rounds at the suspect did not hit the suspect. >> police say 24-year-old died here in front of the apartments from shots fired by one of the groups. a sign rest a peace has been left at the spot. flowers were also lef >> one suspect is in custody that was firing upon the larger group. his firearms is in custody.

>> two weapons were recovered and other suspects are being sought by homicide investigators. he says it's fortunate more people weren't hurt. >> whatever between them they decided to settle it and they didn't care who was around. >> anyone with information is asked to call the san francisco police department. estranged wife of man that was driving the limo that caught on fire says he was on phone. they talked to her for her first public comments about the may 7th fire. she said her husband turned up the music to drown them out while he was driving. she said her husband and kicked and dented her car hours before the fire. two separate a month earlier. we tried to contact brown and his lawyer but neither returned our calls.

prosecutors say the investigation is complete and d.a. is considering how to move forward. five nurses were killed that night while out celebrating a friend's wedding. >> east palo alto police are shall police responded to shots-fired call on larkspur avenue. they found 30-year-old man in the driver's seat of a car few blocks from his home. he had been shot several times and pronounced dead at the scene. >> the coastguard has tracked down a person who led them on a low speedboat chase out to sea today. video shows the 30 foot sailboat being tugged back total bay after the pursuit. at 4:00 this afternoon, coastguard officers tried to board the boat. the boat had no markings indicating where it is from which they say is highly unusual. he took off in the boat. it was allowed to leave for safety reasons. three hours they chased it

into pacific. they caught up to the boat and took the person into custody. >> police are looking for two men tonight suspected in a brazen home burglary. just before noon yesterday police received a call of several young men were breaking into a home. juvenile home only one home screamed when she saw them scaring them away. a storm in the southwest could affect us in the bay area. meteorologist leigh glaser shows us how with live doppler 7-hd. >> at this time of year we typically do see monsonal moisture moving toward the bay area and that is what could possibly happen as we go monday into tuesday. picking up the low clouds and fog right near the coast. it's been stubborn all day long and pretty much been sitting there.

you can see right now, all the way starting to move into the protected valley areas, as well. we are also seeing -- my computer is just stalled out on me. we also have been seeing rain and heavy showers continuing to move into southern california. that also has been causing all kinds of problems. live doppler 7-hd. we'll take a look at that coming up in a little bit. but monday and tuesday, the best chance of seeing this moisture move from southern california into the bay area. >> ama: tonight firefighters battling a wildfire in southern california is getting some help. more than an inch of rain overnight kept it from growing. it's now 49% contained. more rain and even a flash flood warning is forecasted over the fire zone through

tuesday. >> it's a reduction from this morning. >> mandatory evacuation order for 6,000 residents were also lifted today. fire has been burning since monday. same store sthoorm is bringing rain to the southern california fire is creating big problems in the west. a downpour in phoenix area is causing flooding. this is dramatic video of a rescue. man had to be rescued by a helicopter after floodwaters surrounded his property and turned night an island. flooding hats left significant damage but there are no reports of serious injuries or deaths. changes for post offices in san francisco. sunday hours are being cut at four locations. first location to end sunday hours is the macy's station office at union square. that happened today. lake shore plaza and the airport station will close on sundays in august. it's all because of the

bay area roads are going to be extra crowded come friday evening thanks to very big performances, jay z and justin timberlake will be playing in front of a crowd

all day long. mist and drizzle. we'll take you in closer and get a good sense, starting to head into the golden gate bridge and heading over to oakland and east bay locations. where the fog sat, particularly san francisco, 61 degrees was the high today. north bay, cloverdale, 89. 81 in napa. 98 degrees in antioch. 93 in livermore. morgan hill in the 90s, as well. here is a look from rooftop cam, you can barely see the transamerica pyramid because the cloud deck is so low. that could possibly slow down air travel tomorrow morning. oakland tomorrow morning, 58 degrees. san jose, 66. golden gate bridge mist and drizzle right now, santa rosa, 56. 69 in fairfield. livermore, at 72 degrees.

here is a look at forecast highlights from our exploratorium cam looking towards the bay bridge. breezy, mist and drizzle tonight. look for a mixture of high clouds and sunshine. cooler day for your monday. tuesday, humidity levels will start to come up. there is a possibility of moisture moving in the bay area. overnight lows tonight, 60s for inland east bay. 50s elsewhere. this is what live doppler 7-hd has been picking up in southern california, you can see the from san diego and up to the l.a. basin all this flow moving from the south heading up to the sierra and starting to rotate back to the bay area. this is where we are. you can clearly see with this kind of rotation, all this is going to move to the north in the next 24-36 hours. some of this moisture might go back to the bay area. best chance will be monday night and tuesday.

we start off tomorrow morning, 5:00 a.m., dense fog, allow extra travel time.as we take a s for monday, 75 for cupertino and 78 for san jose. more high cloudiness tomorrow. half moon bay only in the 50s tomorrow with low clouds and fog. 74 palo alto. san francisco, 64 downtown. it's right neither the water's edge, temperatures only in the 50s with low overcast. petaluma, 74. only tomorrow, warm to 69 degrees. afternoon sunshine for union city and interior east bay, a little cooler. it will be warm with brentwood 90, 88 pleasanton. >> seven-day forecast, if we see any of this moisture at all reach the bay area best day will be tuesday and slim chance. you will notice increased humidity on that i day.
