killed early wednesday morning in des moines. moines.today the man charged with murder - for the des moines. >> reporter: today the man charged with murder for those deaths of those two des moines area police officers faced a judge scott michael green is being held in the polk county jail on a $10 million bond. he is accused of killing urbandale officer justin martin and des moines police sergeant anthony beminio. authorities arrested him county. green's daughters are speaking out in a statement to fox 28 news as the daughters of the accused we would like to say and express our deepest sympathy. they do not condone. it was a shock to us a man we knew so well was capable of doing so tragic but we were deepest condolences - to the

funeral arrangements are now set for the two officers.a visitation for des moines police sergeant anthony beminio will be held on sunday afternoon from two-to-five at lutheran church of hope in west des moines.his funeral will be held at the church on monday at eleven.he will be laid to rest in the glendale held monday at 11 and laid to rest in the glendale cemetery in des moines tonight officer justin martin's family is speaking out about the ambush on their son when police arrested scott green wednesday, they used the handcuffs of sergeant beminio and officer martin. >> they were his, he carried them because it was a part of him because he had them on him every day, just anything i don't know i think it is personal. >> i think it is because it

sergeant beminio and officer martin the towers foundation announced today it will offer support along with giving funds to each family. the foundation also says it will pay off the mortgage on sergeant beminio's home. hy-vee has also pledged $25,000 to each officer's family. we at fox 28 also want to show our support for the fallen officers. as we told you yesterday 28 taped blue lines to the back of cars after about 7 hours of taping supporting men and women in blue we taped more than 150 cars. our thanks to everyone who came out to show their support. that idea was started by thewives of police officers in des moines starting on tuesday, here many said this was a

investigating a home invasion the gunman is also dead. >> tonight we know the name of the officer involved in a shooting tuesday morning in cedar rapids, the dci is talking to officer lucas jones police tell fox 28 jones stopped jeremy mitchell at 1 a.m., they say a fight started and the officer fired. mitchell then hit two cars before being arrested and then taken to the hospital. mitchell's family wants to see the exactly what happened officer jones was involved in the 2015 shooting that killed jonathan gooseman he was cleared in that investigation. fox 28 learned the name of two girls killed in a crash in lynn county. 16-year-old salina and 13-year- old isabella died after a pick up rear ended the car they were riding in investigators say two cars were waiting to turn on the county home road when the
