This documentary explores the career of Dr. Jean B. McGrew, superintendent of Glenbrook School District 225 (Illinois) from 1981 until his retirement in 1998. Under his leadership both Glenbrook North and Glenbrook South High Schools received national acclaim: both schools received "Excellence in Education" awards from the United States Department of Education. Glenbrook South High School was featured on the August, 1984 cover of US News and World Report in a story titled "What Makes Great Schools Great." Dr. McGrew was named "Superintendent of the Year in Illinois. in 1991. Mark Ferguson produced and edited the video, Allan Ruter wrote the script, and Jim Anthony (Anast '86) supplied the voice-over narration.
