A eight minute episode of BatMan to introduce Bat Girl. The ratings at this were low and Yvonne Craig as Bat Girl was there to boost the ratings. This "episode" was shown to the "suits" of 20th century fox and never aired. I figure it's PD.

Classic
This is just as campy as the rest of the batman episodes. Too bad they didn't air it.

Could've been part of a classic episode
I've heard people speak of this pilot before. Mostly about how terrible it is, the costume for Killer Moth, the unbelievability of them being allowed in the public library while being supercriminals, no other employees knowing about Batgirl, et cetera, et cetera. However, I feel this short fits in perfectly with the Batman TV show. I think this could've worked as a pilot for a Batgirl show as well, had they chosen any villain other than Killer Moth. Even amongst the other villains from the show, he's too goofy. Still, this short is important for that as well. This marks the first ever appearance of Killer Moth in live action, and I believe it was the first time he appeared outside of the comics at all. Combine that with the usual fun writing, cool action, and acting skill, as well as the intro for Batgirl, and you have a bona fide classic on your hands, even with the Moth.

An amusingly obscure tidbit of pop culture
This short film apparently accomplished what it set out to do but does nothing more. It is now included as a bonus feature on the complete Batman DVD and Blu-Ray boxset

Bat girl Aired pilot
I saw this when I was a little girl, however a series never arose from it. This wasn't batgirl premiered in that episode was called "Enter Batgirl exit The Penquin" season 3 episode 1. She was in the series a few times why she even had her own song. I guess she could have had her own spin-off but it never hasppened. Too bad, I liked her. I studied a little further and found out that the 8 minutes you uploaded was her screen test for the network big-wigs. sorry for any mis-spellings.
