Conway Game of Life (neighbor counting for a 3x3 pattern) running in a Von Neumann machine in Applesoft. Edit memory addresses 17-19, 27-29, 37-39 with a 3x3 pattern of 1s and 0s then run the program. The diamond on the left shows the neighbor counts at each cell that can change. Then you manually determine the next generation: If cell is alive and has 2 or 3 neighbors it will stay alive, else it will die. If a cell is dead and has exactly 3 neighbors it will be born in the next...

Thanks to Kevin Greene for the disks, and John K. Morris for help producing the WOZ files. Jef Raskin developed the SwyftWare system for the Apple //e and //c computers. It was used to refine the user interface for the Canon Cat. Thanks to Applesauce technology, the original media can now be preserved and run in emulation. SwyftCardResurrected.do is a disk image that allows users who do not have the Swyftcard hardware to boot Swyft data disks. The original software contained 2 disks....

An Integer Basic program that lets you play the keyboard of any Apple II series computer like a piano. The notes start when you press a key and stop when you release the key. It uses a modified form of the Red Book Audio routine to play the notes through the Apple speaker or cassette port. Only one note plays at any given time.

I took jazz piano lessons with John Foca from Mill Basin, Brooklyn NY in the 1990s. I am sharing arrangements he gave to me here. His dedication to his students was phenomenal and he is dearly missed. I don't know if his work was ever published, so my intention here is to share what I can of his life work.

The Infocomm game Trinity was released around the time that the Commodore 128 computer became available, and was one of the games that took advantage of the new features of the machine, and required an 80 column monitor. This ZIP file contains disk images of several versions of the game. Notes from the person who created the images: First, I was using my ZoomFloppy and the OpenCBM NIBRead software, works excellently for protected disks in my experience. This is on a "known good"...
