This a desolate spot, army firing ranges on grey shingle banks that reach to the power station. There is a metal fence with occasional steel gates bearing warning signs of danger to life, noise, unexploded ordinance. Red flags fly to let you know when the ranges are being used. Quelle ne fut pas ma surprise, en tentant de me rapprocher de ce son bien curieux, que de constater que de petits geysers bouillonants s'étallaient à intervalles réguliers dans une petite rigole longeant parralèlement le cours du Rhône. Je vous expliquerais peut-être le phénomène après m'être renseigné auprès de la CNR... mais je soupçonne un lien étroit entre ce petit canal et le Rhône qui le surplombe. It was a very sunny and warm day when I recorded this, and I actually got sunburn from sitting out for too long. This section of coast is very sheltered, and there isn't much of a beach so the waves, such as they are, just lap against the shore. It's very peaceful, and traffic using the road in this area is minimal.
