Chicago actress Debra Miller presents in 'Mrs. Lincoln's Salon' a picture of Mary Lincoln that is both sympathetic and truthful. Mrs. Lincoln's Salon takes place in the Executive Mansion Blue Room on April 4th, 1865. The audience is invited to reminisce with Mrs. Lincoln about her childhood, her days in Springfield, her children, and the approaching end of the Civil War. The performance draws from Mary Todd Lincoln's own letters to friends, family, and political figures of the era.

Artist Wendy Allen explores her 35-year experience creating portraits of Abraham Lincoln. Wendy Allen painted her first portrait of Abraham Lincoln in 1983. The 16th president soon became the focus of her art, and she has painted hundreds of images of him. In 2007 she left a career in educational publishing to paint full time.

Williams, a retired Rhode Island Supreme Court chief justice, discusses the Lincoln family’s move to Spencer County in southern Indiana in 1816, the year Indiana became a state.
