Here’s what’s ahead for the February 2nd, electronic Salisbury City Council Meeting… Mayor Alexander will proclaim the following: •"tThe month of February as African-American History Month Council will consider: •"tAn ordinance amending the City Code prohibiting parking on Newsome Road •"tAdoption of an ordinance establishing a six-month moratorium on the approval of Historic Landmarks •"tA recommendation regarding eligibility for listing the Edgar S. and Madge Temple House in the National Register of Historic Places •"tRezoning one parcel at 417, 421 and 425 Faith Road and 112 Dunham Avenue from Urban Residential (UR8) and Corridor Mixed-Use (CMX) to Corridor Mixed Use (CMX) only •"tAdoption of a budget ordinance for $93,000 from the General Fund Balance for bridge repairs and approval of a contract for $185,758 with NCDOT for repairs to the North Ellis Street and East Fisher Street bridges. Written comments received by February 2nd at 5 p.m. will be shared with City Council but not read out loud during the meeting.
